Global Foods Upgrades to BCP's Accord®

UK wholesaler, Global Foods, has opted to replace its IT system with an Accord® solution from UK supply chain solutions specialist Business Computer Projects Ltd (BCP).

Stockport, UK (PRWEB) November 11, 2009 -- Global Foods, the Cardiff based Cash and Carry wholesaler, has opted to replace its IT system with an Accord® solution from UK supply chain solutions specialist Business Computer Projects Ltd (BCP).

Global Foods operates a highly successful 6 lane cash and carry in Cardiff offering a comprehensive range of ambient, chilled and frozen foods. The company also provides a full delivered and pallet wholesale service to customers across south Wales through its fleet of 15 temperature controlled vehicles. The operation as a whole probably has the highest turnover per square foot for a non-tobacco cash and carry in the UK.

As a result of continued expansion Global Foods identified the need for a more comprehensive solution to support future growth. Following a review of the systems available, the company decided to move to BCP's Accord® as it offers the full suite of software needed to successfully operate a modern wholesale business, including forecast-based purchasing, pro-active Telesales, integrated financials and full warehouse management with RF scanning and Voice options. Moreover, based on the latest Progress technology, Accord® offers outstanding reliability, critical for trouble-free day to day operations.

The company has invested in a complete Accord® software solution and new hardware including servers, cash & carry tills and RF scanners for goods receiving and gap replenishment. Data was transferred automatically from the company's old system to speed implementation and minimise interruption to daily operations.

It seems to be the only proven solution for the growing wholesaler. Alternative packages are claiming a great deal, but don't appear to have the depth of functionality that I need to expand my business."
