Conference to Encourage Small Business Owners to Hold On, Not Quit, Before Economy Turns Around

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 12, 2009 -- Abundant Staffing LLC, a virtual staffing and recruiting firm, and HR Insite LLC, a human resources consulting company, will hold their first-annual Atlanta Business to Business Conference Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the Gwinnett Center in Duluth, GA from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The conference, which is specifically geared toward small business owners whose companies have been hardest hit by the recession, will consist of a full day of breakout sessions designed to give businesses the tips and tools they’ll need to succeed when the economy rebounds.

“This conference is a necessity right now because we see a lot of small business owners who are tempted to give up,” says Ron Taylor, managing partner of HR Insite.

Taylor, who worked as a consultant to Fortune 500 companies and the federal government for 15 years before joining HR Insite in 2007, says that even though the economy is bad right now, there are things small companies can do to not just stay afloat, but thrive.

“Maybe that involves advertising to a new market or restructuring a system they already have in place. We know the economy will turn around some time in the next year, and we want to give small businesses the tools they’ll need to succeed when it does,” says Taylor.

Economic forecasters expect that turnaround to happen sometime around spring of 2010. Taylor says that because small businesses historically create more than 50 percent of all jobs in the United States, they will be the first to benefit from the economic upswing. However, how much a company benefits will depend not only on knowing which resources are available to business owners, but also how to strategically apply them.

The conference will include sessions on using social networking as a marketing tool, establishing and clarifying a company’s brand image, and bidding on local and federal government contracts. Other issues to be discussed include how changes in health care reform and employment laws will impact small businesses.
