QuickLift Developer Shares Personal Surgery Story

New article by Dominic A. Brandy, MD combines physician and patient perspective

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) November 12, 2009 -- Renowned cosmetic surgeon Dominic A. Brandy, MD, developer of the QuickLift™ minimally invasive facelift, is sharing his personal facelift journey in his new byline article, From Physician to Patient: My Personal QuickLift Story.

Dr. Brandy, an innovator in minimally invasive facial rejuvenation and a leader in the field of cosmetic surgery and anti-aging technologies, is the founder and medical director of The Skin Center Medical Spas, with offices in Pittsburgh and Columbus, Ohio.

Since he developed the QuickLift in 2003, Dr. Brandy has since performed more than 1,000 procedures on patients. Unlike most cosmetic surgeons, Dr. Brandy has also experienced the procedure himself. Because of his unique perspective, he decided to share his experience in an article that describes the journey from start to finish, including his feelings and side effects.

“Sharing my personal QuickLift story allowed me to show a side of the doctor/patient relationship that patients and potential patients rarely see,” said Dr. Brandy. “Because I have experienced the procedure myself, I am able to relate to my patients in a way that few surgeons can. My patients tell me that sharing my experience puts them at ease. As well, they tell me my willingness to experience the procedure shows them it is effective, safe, and proven.”

The QuickLift provides an overall lower- to mid-facelift and also improves the appearance of the upper neck, offering significant age-diminishing effects with minimal downtime and lasting results.

In addition to operating his practice, Dr. Brandy is well-regarded teacher and lecturer. He has written more than 70 published medical articles on cosmetic enhancement procedures in prominent journals including the Journal of Dermatologic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology and has been referenced in hundreds of consumer newspapers and magazines, including Redbook and Men's Health. About QuickLift™
The QuickLift™, developed by Dominic Brandy, MD and performed by a number of doctors personally trained by him, is an improved version of the S-Lift, which has been performed since the late 1990s with limited results. The QuickLift provides an overall lower- to mid- facelift and improves the appearance of the upper neck, offering significant age-diminishing effects with minimal downtime and lasting results. The QuickLift is designed for men and women between the ages of 40 and 65+ who want to stay ahead of the aging process. At these ages, most individuals lose elasticity in their skin and develop varying degrees of looseness along the jaw line and beneath the chin. Unlike procedures with similar names and most mini facelifts that tighten only skin, the QuickLift permanently suspends the underlying structures of the lower face (SMAS) offering men and women the benefit of a more youthful appearance for years to come. Although the QuickLift can produce significant aesthetic improvement for most people, after any facial procedure the normal aging process resumes. Lifestyle choices, bone structure, skin type, sun exposure, and heredity all play a part in determining how long the desired result will last.
