New Thought-provoking Book Explores Search for Deeper Meaning
My Way to the Higher Self, a new book by Marian Wasilewski, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- My Way to the Higher Self, a new book by Marian Wasilewski, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc. Wasilewski was born and raised a Catholic, but in his middle years, having rejected religious dogmas and the materialistic worldview, he had a brush with clinical death. After experiences connected with a surgical operation, he underwent inner changes. Initially fearing for his sanity, he immersed himself in reading philosophy, psychology, and psychiatry. Then he practiced yoga. Feeling the disappointment of his own intuition, he reached for "top-of-the-shelf" knowledge.
In My Way to the Higher Self, he relates these experiences, providing substantial worldview inscription in an accessibly written, sometimes humorous manner. By offering an in-depth analysis of consciousness, he tells of his own journey and encourages readers to take a deeper look themselves.
Originally from Poland, Marian was inspired to write this by his interest in psychology and an "experience in changed consciousness." He holds masters' degrees in both construction and mathematics and a doctorate in technical science, all from schools in Poland. He is also interested in esoteric, religious, and psychological knowledge.
Now living in Connecticut, he is married to Grazyna and has two children, Waldemar and Ewa. Marian has previously published another book, Psychological Roots of Communism.
My Way to the Higher Self is a 132-page paperback with a retail price of $15.00. The ISBN is 978-1-4349-0245-0. It was published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
