Readers Can Vote Now For Top Camera of 2009 at the Adorama Learning Center
Voting is open now for readers to vote for their favorite camera of the year; write-ins welcome. The camera that gets the most votes will be announced on Black Friday
New York, NY (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- 2009 has been a year of important digital cameras. From new designs and formats to dramatic improvements in image capture technologies, we’ve seen a lot of innovation. Now, consumers can go to the Adorama Learning Center (http://www.adorama.com/alc) and voice their opinions as to which camera is the most important camera of the year by participating in the Readers Choice Camera 2009 poll (http://www.adorama.com/alc/blogarticle/Readers-Choice-Camera-2009).
The Learning Center’s editors nominated eight digital cameras that represent a wide gamut of camera types and formats: the Canon EOS 7D, Casio Exilim EX-FS10, Nikon D3s, Leica M9, Olympus E-P1, Panasonic GH-1, Pentax K-7, and Sony A850. Readers will be able to vote for one of the above models. If they don’t like the choices presented, they can write in their favorite camera in the reader comments section.
Voting is open now, and will close at midnight (U.S. Eastern Time) on Tuesday, November 24. The results will be announced on November 27—Black Friday.
“We nominated the eight cameras in the poll because we felt each represented an important innovation or brought an advanced feature set to an unprecedented lower price point,” notes Adorama Learning Center editor Mason Resnick. “I’m looking forward to hearing what people think and welcome their comments. I’m ready to be surprised by the results.”
An online photo magazine at a retail web site?
The Adorama Learning Center is the choice destination for photographers at all levels of experience who want to improve their picture-taking and image-editing skills. The Learning Center has posted hundreds of how-to photography articles, buying guides and picture-selling advice, as well as daily breaking news about the photography industry, and the Tech Tock blog, written by a team of top photography experts. Readers can follow the Adorama Learning Center on Twitter (@adoramalearn) or Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/Adorama?ref=ts)
Why would Adorama, a well-respected New York-based camera retailer, publish what is essentially an online photo magazine and blog? For the same reason it has also partnered with the Perfect Picture School of Photography (http://www.ppsop.net) to offer online photography courses, and why it offers dozens of live workshops for photographers on location in its store in New York’s Photo District that have been attended by hundreds of enthusiastic students: "We believe the more information and knowledge we can provide, the more people will trust Adorama both as a reliable and trusted information source and as a place where they can feel comfortable buying their photographic gear," says Resnick.
