Republican Mattie Fein today announced her candidacy for Congress in California’s 36th District. Jobs, the economy, national security, and out-of-control spending will be the focal points of her campaign.
Torrance, CA (PRWEB) November 11, 2009 -- Republican Mattie Fein today announced her candidacy for Congress in California’s 36th District. Jobs, the economy, national security, and out-of-control spending will be the focal points of her campaign.
“The alarming double-digit unemployment levels reported last week that are rapidly moving towards Great Depression heights underscores the urgency of a new direction. The current remedies of the Democrat-controlled congress consist of little more than a 'tax and bailout' job albatross. These short-sighted policies should be replaced with a business-labor friendly environment fueled by enterprise, innovation, and an unflagging work ethic,” said Fein.
"Joblessness in the 36th District, combined with economically toxic bailouts, have placed in jeopardy the overall fiscal viability and, specifically, the homeownership of many in our district,” she added.
During a recent trip to our nation’s capital, Fein met with a number of California congressional delegation members who heard her message and were enthusiastic about her candidacy. “Mattie has put together a very impressive campaign in a short period of time. She looks to be the strongest Republican candidate in the 36th district in many, many years,” said Congressman George Radanovich from California’s Central Valley.
“Mattie Fein has an impressive grasp of the most important issues facing our nation,” added Northern Californian Republican Congressman Wally Herger.
Fein went on to say that national security will also play a key role in her campaign. “I will insist on a sensible deployment and projection of United States power. While times have changed, and America’s enemies lurk in all corners of the globe, a strong emphasis on fortifying defense weapons and tactics conjoined with an invincible retaliatory capacity will deter or foil enemies who might contemplate aggression against the United States,” she concluded.
