Dr. Alonso-Galicia has over thirteen years of research experience in renal and cardiovascular physiology. Prior to joining PhysioGenix, she spent eight years as Senior Research Pharmacologist and as a Research Fellow at Merck. She will work directly with clients who are working to discover cures for such diseases as diabetes, obesity and hypertension, to develop customized research programs. “We are very pleased to have Dr. Alonso join us. Dr. Alonso-Galicia holds a combined degree in chemistry, biology, and pharmacy from the University of San Luis Potosi, a doctoral degree in Physiology & Biophysics from the University of Mississippi, and a postdoctoral fellowship from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her passion for helping others through research of obesity-induced hypertension will be a valuable asset for PhysioGenix.
