BIT Group Expands CNC Manufacturing Operations to China
Global contract manufacturer of medical diagnostic instrumentation has begun construction of a new CNC manufacturing facility in China.
Schwalbach, Germany (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- BIT Group (www.Group-BIT.com) has begun construction of a new CNC manufacturing facility in KunShan, China in order to increase cost efficiency and speed-to-market of its complex medical diagnostic instruments. The new facility will specialize in mechanical production of selected machined components required for BIT instruments. The factory layout was designed by the BIT German OPS team and all machinery was carefully selected and purchased new. Linked technologically to the industrial engineering group in Germany, the production facility will adhere to all of BIT's high quality processes and standards. "The new production site provides immense advantages with regard to pricing and competitiveness," says Marius Balger, CEO of BIT Group. "We are expanding our high-quality, process-optimized real net output ratio and consolidat-ing our own supplier platform. At the same time we expect even higher product quality as a result of the improved interface definition. Having China as a reference location will positively impact pricing in general - both internally and with the suppliers we have who are already based in China."
As a subsidiary of the internationally renowned Messer Group, Inc. which has been manufacturing in China since 1985, BIT expects to benefit from an already-established political, economic and social network. "We are entering the market via safe, familiar terrain while maintaining 100-per-cent control of all business proc-esses," reveals Balger. "We do not have any partners in management; and process monitoring will be performed at our head office in Germany. Last but not least, we make decisions on all operations independently of the China facility. This guaran-tees that all of our customers' IPs as well as the entire know-how remains under our control."
Construction is expected to be completed by May 2010 with the start of production at the new site anticipated for June 2010.
