Breathing Color Rolls Out Lyve, New Premium-Grade, Certified Archival Canvas

A new fine art canvas free of unstable whitening agents that deteriorate and yellow over time, Lyve, has been launched by Breathing Color, Inc.

Orange, CA (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- A new fine art canvas free of unstable whitening agents that deteriorate and yellow over time, Lyve, has been launched by Breathing Color, Inc. The premium-grade canvas is specially designed for high-end giclée reproductions that require exceptional color gamut and archivability.

The independent United Kingdom Accreditation Service has subjected the acid free and pH neutral Lyve Canvas to extensive testing. The laboratory concluded the canvas meets and exceeds the standards set forth by the Fine Art Trade Guild for pH and lightfastness. Lyve Canvas also passed the Blue Wool Test, a consumer benchmark for archival art and framing supplies.

Said Breathing Color president Nicholas Friend, “Our endless pursuit of finer print quality is showcased by Lyve Canvas. Simply put, this is our best.”

Professional photographers are already embracing the product, among them Craig Rudlin of CR Photography in Richmond, Virginia. Rudlin recently won the "Bon Air Artists Award" using Lyve for his image of Antelope Canyon in Arizona. The canvas, he said, provided “a remarkable gamut, brilliance and depth of colors, and an equally remarkable clarity.”

Lyve was created with Breathing Color’s Chromata White technology, which creates a highly stable white base that resists discoloration by ultraviolet light. The canvas also reduces color shifting and Metamerism.

Despite the absence of whitening agents, Lyve is still exceptionally white, says Breathing Color. In addition, the canvas has a water resistant surface and works well with both solvent and water-based topcoats.
