Native Waters Introduces New 700 ml Bottle

Native Waters, LLC will now offer its sustainable bottled water in a new 700 ml size. Proving that bottled water can be earth friendly, Native Water is locally sourced and packaged in recyclable biodegradable PET bottles, making minimal environmental impact.

Newton, MA (PRWEB) November 14, 2009 -- Responding to demand for larger-sized bottles, Native Waters, LLC will now offer its sustainable bottled water in a new 700 ml size. Proving that bottled water can be earth friendly, Native Water is locally sourced and packaged in recyclable biodegradable PET bottles, making minimal environmental impact.

Native Water is bottled in ENSO Bottles, a biodegradable PET plastic bottle. The bottles are produced with Ecopure™, an additive added to the plastic manufacturing process that allows the bottles to be metabolized and neutralized on a microbial level, breaking down the plastic. ENSO bottles maintain the same physical properties and strengths as existing PET plastic bottles yet provide a more shelf stable solution than starch-based PLA materials and oxo-degradable plastics. The bottles are biodegradable in both anaerobic and aerobic environments and can also be successfully mixed with standard PET plastic recycling.

“Organizations across the region are looking to provide their consumers with the highest quality natural spring water with a minimal carbon footprint. We are happy to provide them with an additional option," said Rodger Cohen, vice president and co-found
With the new 700ml size, and their initial 500ml product, Native Waters is now the first company to offer a mainstream recyclable, biodegradable bottle made with 25% recycled plastic.

Equally important, Native Waters sources its water locally, minimizing its carbon footprint by eliminating long trucking routes for distribution. Native Water is sourced from springs in the heart of the Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts, both in Chester, and Southfield, MA. The water flows naturally through sand, clay and rocks, and provides Native Waters with a spring water which is exceedingly low in mineral and dissolved solid content.

“Demand for Native Water is exceeding our initial expectations,” said Rodger Cohen, vice president and co-founder of Native Waters. “Organizations across the region are looking for ways to provide their consumers with the healthiest and highest quality natural spring water with a minimal carbon footprint. They’ve asked for the new 700 ml bottle and we are happy to provide them with an additional option.”

Native Waters is distributed by G. Housen of Brattleboro, Vt. For more information on how you can offer Native Water, contact Rodger Cohen at Rodger (at) earthfriendlybottle (dot) com,
