Reston, VA (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- KPI Online, a subsidiary of Bitam and leading provider of Business Intelligence and Strategic Planning models via a Software as a Service (Saas) platform, just announced the official launch of its small business community, starting with 12 blog articles, reinforcing it's commitment to helping small businesses grow. KPI Online staff and various guest bloggers have written a series of articles with practical information to help small but growing companies weather the current economic storm and grow their businesses.
"In surveying the blogosphere we saw that most information coming from Business Intelligence application vendors as well as industry pundits revolved around discussions of dashboards, reports, speeds and feeds, bits and bytes. That's not very helpful. Small but growing companies still don't know how to use Business Intelligence to help them improve sales, reduce inventory, cut costs, and make their business processes more efficient," said David Abdo, KPI Online's CEO.
Initial blog posts have included titles such as "How Small Businesses Can Survive The Recession Using Business Intelligence," and "Understanding Business Finances: Are You Running A Business Or A Hobby?"
"We feel growing companies need practical advice on how Business Intelligence can help them grow their companies. They've been told what doesn't get measured can't improve, well nobody's told them how to measure," Abdo said.
Blog articles have focused more on the financial side of growing a business as opposed to the sales and marketing side.
"Many SaaS BI vendors today are still very much focused on Business Intelligence to analyze CRM data. Since our solutions are more focused on analyzing financial data, our blog topics have in turn focused on how companies can understand their financial position to make better economic decisions," Abdo said.
KPI Online plans to expand it's community in the near future to include an open marketplace where consultants can create new dashboards and share them on the KPI Online website (http://kpionline.bitam.com).
