Alchemy, the leader in innovative training solutions for the global workforce, held their 5th annual meeting in Austin, Texas, for users of the Avatar Professional Development Management System.

Highlights from the event included keynote speakers Terry Morganti-Fisher, the CEO of Morganti Fisher Associates, and Sandy Fivecoat, the founder and CEO of WeAreTeachers. Terry’s presentation, “Stop Random Acts of Professional Development,” focused on promoting cohesive staff development, while Sandy’s presentation, “Social Media, Just what is it, and how will this new tool impact education,” featured the existing and new advances in social media for educators.

The User Group’s primary focus is to provide Alchemy’s customers with the opportunity to meet the Alchemy support team, participate in interactive product training sessions, learn how their peers use the Avatar product and provide feedback for future Avatar product enhancements. A customer appreciation dinner is also hosted by Alchemy to thank the attending customers for their continued support.

Susan Jones from Clarksville-Montgomery County School System said, “The Avatar User Group provided a great opportunity to not only learn more about the features of Avatar, but to learn how other organizations use it. The sharing of best practices is essential to our continued success.”
