Santa Monica, California (PRWEB) November 15, 2009 -- LXM PRO, the first professional Lacrosse “tour” of its kind, combining 40 of the biggest stars of Lacrosse with a music festival and on-the-field competitions, announced today a new headlining artist for its inaugural event “LXM 949” on November 21, 2009 in Santa Ana, CA. The event will now be highlighted by a concert featuring multiple guests including Headliner 3OH!3, Drake, The Cab, Qwes & Sam Adams who collectively replace AKON. Tickets are on sale now at www.lxmpro.com/tickets
This day long event takes place at Santa Ana Municipal Stadium, beginning at 1 p.m., and concluding at 10 p.m. Fans can expect several attractions throughout the day. Athletic-actors are invited to a full-contact casting call led by Mark Ellis of Sports Studio Casting, Hollywood’s pre-eminent leader in casting, coordination and sports action production, whose past movies include Miracle, The Waterboy, The Rookie & Invincible. Ellis and his team will be auditioning talented candidates for a variety of sports-specific roles in future Hollywood productions including the upcoming lacrosse feature film "Crooked Arrows,” currently in development.
LXM PRO fans will then be treated to a collegiate lacrosse rivalry game featuring powerhouse Chapman University and UC Santa Barbara.
The event continues with the day’s featured attraction, the return of Pro Lacrosse in Southern California -- An All-Star showcase featuring 40 of the best players in the country including: Scott Urick; 2x All-American, USA World Team Member, Trevor Tierney; NCAA Goalie of the Year, 2x USA Goalie and Mike Culver; 2006 NCAA Defensemen of the Year, NCAA 1st Team All American, and many more...
The event concludes with a blow-out concert featuring special appearances by Samuel Adams, The Cab, Qwes and 3OH!3. Celebrity appearances include: Paula Abdul, casts of “The Hills”, “Beverly Hills 90210” and “Melrose Place”.
“We are truly grateful that 3OH!3 has stepped in to headline our bill on short notice. 3OH!3 is a perfect addition to this event, they put on a great live show, and their music is exactly what our core audience loves. Signing Drake adds a bonus act for our core audience to enjoy, while also broadening our reach.” said company CMO Jason Rosen, “However, our thoughts and prayers go out to Akon and his family during this tough time, and we look forward to working with him on another LXM event in the future.”
This entertaining, VIP, celebrity-driven event is where sports, music and young Hollywood collide.
