Blue Fountain Media Singled Out by Web 2.0 Expo New York as a Classic Example of “The Power of Less”

Web 2.0 Expo New York Opens today with the theme of "The Power of Less." Blue Fountain Media was selected by the Web 2.0 Expo event staff to be featured as a company that has used "The Power of Less" to not only survive, but to thrive in this difficult economy. Blue Fountain Media's Founder Gabriel Shaoolian was interviewed on the Web 2.0 Expo Blog.

(Vocus/PRWEB ) November 17, 2009 -- Web 2.0 Expo New York has singled out Blue Fountain Media as a company that embodies the conference’s central theme: “The Power of Less.”

Blue Fountain Media, a web design, development and marketing firm based in Manhattan, has managed to more than double in size in the past year while living the “Power of Less” philosophy.

The conference, which begins today Web 2.0 Expo New York at the Javits Center in Manhattan, is one of the most important Internet-related conferences in the world. Web 2.0 Expo New York, which is expected to attract thousands of attendees and over a hundred speakers, will focus on how companies can survive and even thrive in difficult economic times.

This is how Web 2.0 Expo New York defines “The Power of Less”:

“The Power of Less doesn’t just mean making do with fewer staff and a smaller budget. It means that constraints drive creativity, whether in business models, design paradigms, or platforms. It means the power of the small screen, the thin client, the streamlined interface. It might mean the power of small teams, or even going solo.”

Since Blue Fountain Media has more than doubled in size in the past year and greatly increased its client base, they were a natural choice to be profiled by the Expo’s organizers as a company living “The Power of Less.”

The Web 2.0 Expo team conducted an extended Q & A with Blue Fountain Media Founder and Creative Director Gabriel Shaoolian, which was published on the Expo’s official Blog: Employing the Power of Less (read the full transcript Here)

In the interview Shaoolian said that the key to doing great work for clients is to create a process designed to deliver results that directly enhance the client’s bottom line.

“It’s amazing how much you can deliver when you have a talented and creative team working with efficient processes,” Shaoolian says “We believe in communication, collaboration and execution. It makes for a group of very satisfied clients.”

At the heart of the interview was an examination of Blue Fountain’s team-based project management. A team is assigned to each client, and all key team members participate in the project from the exploratory period, through the planning stage, and ultimately, in the execution.

“When clients come to our offices, they get caught up in the excitement of the place,” Shaoolian says. “They see us literally working shoulder to shoulder. It's the hallmark of our company: a working environment conducive to communication and collaboration.”
