Crate and Barrel, CB2 Partner with Yowza!! to Bring Savings to Consumers with Mobile Coupons

Consumers can now use the free iPhone and iPod touch application to save at Crate and Barrel and CB2 stores nationwide.

As the holiday shopping season arrives, mobile couponing company Yowza!! and home furnishings retailer Crate and Barrel have partnered up to bring exclusive deals to consumers directly on their mobile devices. Beginning today, consumers who download Yowza!! for free from Apple’s iTunes application store can access coupons on their iPhone or iPod touch that are redeemable at Crate and Barrel and CB2 stores throughout the U.S., and offer discounts on select items.

“Crate and Barrel is a forward-looking company that has really embraced mobile commerce,” said Greg Grunberg, co-creator of Yowza!! “As we kick off the big plans we have lined up for the Holiday shopping season, we are excited to add them to our growing roster of retail partners.”

Juniper Research has recently forecasted that by 2014, more than one mobile subscriber in 10 in developed regions will use mobile coupons, and a recent National Retail Federation study showed that over 41% of U.S. consumers plan to use more coupons this Holiday season compared with last.

Yowza!! removes the need to clip coupons or print out emails with promo codes by offering deals directly to the mobile device. Users can search for nearby, participating retailers either via zip code or by using the device’s built-in GPS to find stores within 1, 5, 15, 25 or even 50 miles of their current location. Once an offer is selected, a mobile coupon code or scan-able barcode can be redeemed at checkout. The recently-launched Yowza!! Version 2.0 also provides users with integrated maps that show each nearby store location, as well as a "Share your Savings" feature that allows users to pass information on about the amount of money they have saved using Yowza!! to their friends using Twitter, Facebook or e-mail.
