The long out-of-print hot rod construction manual, "How to Build a T-Bucket Roadster for Under $3000" is now available as an eBook from TBucketPlans.com.
When first published in 1986, it was the only book of its kind to explore in specific detail every element of construction of a hot rod. Written by professional T-Bucket and rod builder Chester Greenhalgh and meticulously documented with over 400 photos, templates, diagrams and illustrations, the objective of the 242 page book was to enable the average mechanically inclined person to duplicate a professionally built T-Bucket roadster in a home garage on a beer budget.
Relatively quickly, the first self-published print run sold out and the later trade paperback version titled "How to Build a T-Bucket Roadster on a Budget" went out of print in the 1990s. In past years, copies of both versions have sold through booksellers and online auction sites for up to $200 each. The demand for this hard-to-get classic is due to the innovative, low-cost construction techniques it details as well as the fact that those same techniques can be used in building many other types of hot rods beyond T-Buckets.
Typical of the detailed construction information is the 16-page chapter on Radiator, Mounts and Shells, which also covers economic grille material and decorative radiator ornaments in addition to two pages of junkyard or low-cost radiators that can be used with the wide variety of grille shells employed on T-Buckets.
The officially authorized eBook version of "How to Build a T-Bucket Roadster for Under $3000" is now available from TBucketPlans.com with bonus content covering Chester Greenhalgh's traditional flathead-powered T-Bucket, featuring no parts newer than 1952 (with the exception of the fiberglass body), and the story of Chester's departure and return to the world of hot rod fabrication and authorship.
The detailed Table of Contents and other information on the $9.99 eBook in PDF format can be found at http://www.TBucketPlans.com.
