New York, NY (PRWEB) November 25, 2009

There's a new way to avoid traffic and save money this holiday season! Edison ParkFast is proud to announce one free day of parking per customer at their Secaucus Junction Park & Ride facility.

Between Monday, November 16th, and Saturday, December 19th, city-bound commuters can select a day they won't pay to park at Secaucus Junction. Parking fees, usually $10 on weekdays and $5 nights & weekends, will be waived to encourage people to get out of their cars and onto the train.

Street teams will be distributing the free parking coupons during evening rush to NJ-bound traffic at the Lincoln Tunnel. A similar promotion is available online at http://www.parkfast.com.

"We want people to discover just how easy and cost-effective it is to park your car and take the train into town," said Ben Feigenbaum, Executive Vice President Parking Operations. "It's great for the environment and it's amazingly stress-free. We really believe that once people try our Park & Ride, they'll never want to drive through the Lincoln Tunnel again."

The Secaucus Park & Ride Facility opened earlier this year. Located adjacent to the Secaucus Junction train station, it boasts over 1,000 parking spaces.

Secaucus Park & Ride is easily accessible via NJ Turnpike Exit 15X. Trains to New York City leave every six minutes during rush hour - and the ride takes less than 15 minutes on average. It's convenient, it's easy…and you can try it free.
