The Parents’ Choice Awards™ Gift Finder can help take a lot of guesswork out of holiday shopping for children’s toys, games, books, music and more. “If you have a dinosaur lover, backyard explorer, young scientist or artist on your list, this tool will make your shopping less frenzied,” said Claire Green, president of Parents’ Choice Foundation. “The Parents’ Choice Awards Gift Finder considerably narrows down the field of available products by spotlighting those we’ve tested and vetted throughout the year.”

Providing time-stressed gift givers with on-the-go access to hundreds of Parents’ Choice Award-winning products in a simple format was the goal in developing the public service Gift Finder. Washington DC-based Virilion, a full-service interactive agency, was instrumental in creating the iPhone web app.

Additional features of the Parents’ Choice Awards Gift Finder App offer users the ability to read product reviews, purchase items directly through the iPhone and iPod touch on Amazon.com or other retail sites; the “Tell a Friend” feature allows users to send a product link to anyone with an email address.
