HiSoftware Introduces HiSoftware Compliance Sheriff for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010

The solution, which will be released in conjunction with the launch of SharePoint Server 2010, extends the current functionality of the product to include validating and integrating content compliance for multiple information mediums including document libraries, email, and collaborative media including blogs and wikis, MySites and TeamSites, in addition to intranets and public facing websites.

HiSoftware Compliance Sheriff for SharePoint 2010 is an enterprise management solution that provides content compliance testing, monitoring and reporting for standards-based policies including privacy, accessibility, social / media collaboration, brand corruption, site quality and operational security (OPSEC). It allows organizations to integrate a comprehensive and automated solution for managing Web Governance standards and customized organizational content requirements within SharePoint Server 2010 as part of their best practices and corporate Risk Management strategy.

Key new features of HiSoftware Compliance Sheriff for SharePoint 2010 will include:

  •     New content capabilities to extend monitoring capabilities to now include:

o    Improved document scanning for multiple document formats including DOC, DOCX, PDF, and TXT.
o    Monitoring of social collaborative media including blogs and wikis, MySites and TeamSites.
o    Web monitoring capabilities for:

  •     Intranet Enterprise Content Management (ECM)
  •     Internet Web Content Management (WCM)

o    Monitoring of Email communications.

  •     Over 250 compliance checkpoints that can be used as is or customized to fit organizational standards to help speed implementation.
  •     These features are currently available to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 users of HiSoftware Compliance Sheriff, and an upgrade path to SharePoint 2010 will be provided.

HiSoftware will be previewing HiSoftware Compliance Sheriff for SharePoint 2010 at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2009 exhibit hall in booth 708. The company will also hold a series of limited-seating Roundtable events and executive briefing sessions during the conference.
