Being young you never think about getting older Time is spent working on perfection on every last detail about makeup, hair and wardrobe. Looks are what defines a person at this age.

The 20’s are spent in front of the mirror primping, checking, re-doing every last detail until perfect. At this point looks are everything. Time is spent working to perfection every last detail about makeup, hair and wardrobe. Looks are what defines a person at this age.

Then in the 30’s, there is an awareness of accepting your inner beauty. Perfection has a different meaing. Making sure you have the files for work are more important than the shoes worn with a certain outfit.

The 40th year starts the age of being too busy to really worry about every little detail. After all there is the kids, work, husband...and the list goes on and on. Getting 10 more minutes of sleep becomes more important than the hair on your head.

The 50's something is the grabber. As the author puts it, "you realize there is much more to life than just good looks and the outward appearance... you start to relax about the bad hair day and the less than perfect makeup." Finally there is an understanding of real beauty.

So lightened up as age creeps up! Everyone and I mean everyone will get there and this process stops for no one. As the author puts it, "by the time you know what to do with it, you can't!"

About the author: Pat Krause lives in South Texas. This project was a inspired by the changes of age of her loved ones and herself. Friends know the phrase "too funny" because that is how she views life and getting older.
