Company increases performance and functionality with powerful applications management tool, worldwide database, and major product releases.

The modeling and simulation market is working to deliver more complex and increasingly high-fidelity applications while program budgets and timelines continue to shrink

Presagis™, the leading provider of commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) modeling, simulation and embedded graphics solutions, today announced the release of the Presagis Worldwide Database (WWDB) and the Presagis Utilities Manager. These new products, along with recent major releases, are part of the company's vision, Aeria, to deliver a unified suite of COTS software and technical services to help organizations more quickly and efficiently deliver highly complex, data-rich models and training scenarios. The WWDB from Presagis is a synthetic global database based on the Common Database (CDB) standard that allows developers to seamlessly add and refine geographic zones of anywhere in the world. With the Utilities Manager, users can easily manage multiple software applications and databases, helping to streamline the process of creating and running complex distributed simulations. These new tools follow other major product releases from the company, including STAGE 6.0, Vega Prime 3.0, Terra Vista 6.0 and Creator 4.0. All of these releases support the Aeria vision and feature deep cross-product interoperability.
"The modeling and simulation market is working to deliver more complex and increasingly high-fidelity applications while program budgets and timelines continue to shrink," said Nick Giannias, Vice President, Research & Technology, Presagis. "With this new generation of tools and product releases, we are focused on providing the most functional suite of COTS modeling and simulation software in an integrated, interoperable portfolio. This will help companies to minimize timelines and the resource investment required to deliver highly realistic scenarios."
Applications, such as flight simulators, urban and ground tactical training, unmanned aerial systems, and marine simulation programs, require numerous specialized tools, models and databases to be used seamlessly throughout the development and deployment of the end application. To help manage and streamline this workflow, the Utilities Manager automates setup, configuration, validation and manipulation of multiple software tools over a multi-operating system network with ease.
Continuing the Presagis commitment to scalable, interoperable applications, the company is also announcing the availability of its Worldwide Database. Designed for use with CDB-enabled tools, the WWDB is highly extensible and scalable, allowing users to leverage existing content and then define higher resolution areas within a scenario. The WWDB is compatible with Presagis products including STAGE 6.0, Terra Vista 6.0, Thea Lite 1.0 and the upcoming Vega Prime 4.0; as well as other future releases from Presagis.
Recent Presagis product enhancements include:

  •     Presagis STAGE 6.0:

With STAGE 6.0, Presagis has enhanced its simulation product line to offer deeper cross-portfolio integration and third-party software support. STAGE 6.0 ushers in a new generation of simulation software tools, and features a superior interface, as well as unmatched 2D and 3D visual quality via integration with Presagis Vega Prime, the industry's leading visualization software. It also includes seamless incorporation of artificial intelligence and high fidelity models out-of-the box, allowing users to quickly tailor their specific application requirements using existing virtual environments. This comes as a result of built-in third party product interoperability and support for other Presagis software including AI.implant, Creator, FlightSIM, HeliSIM, SIM OneNet, and Terra Vista.

  •     Presagis Vega Prime 3.0

Vega Prime 3.0 offers Presagis customers augmented realism with improved aesthetics such as dynamic shadows as well as the ability to create and add a threat dome or 3D volume to any scene. The software includes direct support for the Presagis Creator Building Interiors module and Presagis Terra Vista, ensuring that users can maximize the display of their models and performance of their databases. Flexible and open, Vega Prime runs on COTS PC hardware and can work in Windows and/or Linux environments.
Presagis has also developed Thea Lite version 1.0, a no cost tool designed for the viewing and sharing of synthetic environments. Ideal for spatial analysis, intelligence gathering, planning, and information analysis, Thea Lite is a GUI-based synthetic database viewer that makes the visualization of Open Flight, Terrapage, and CDB accessible through an intuitive optimized interface.
The company's newly released tools and cross-product interoperability will be on display this week at Presagis booth #2300 at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference (I/ITSEC). Visitors can experience the unmatched capability and flexibility of Presagis tools in the following technology demonstrations: a Helicopter Pilot Technology Demonstrator, a Tactical Operations Rehearsal and Deployment demonstration and the Presagis Visualization Training and Simulation Room.
IITSEC attendees can also learn more about CDB and OpenFlight standards by registering to attend on-site user groups and training sessions:
