"The H1N1 Hotline serves to reduce the strain on 911 and health department call centers while supplying detailed demographic data."
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) December 1, 2009
Wayne County 911 office announced today an H1N1 Flu Hotline for the community. With one phone number, anyone in the Wayne County area can call in to hear the latest updates on flu outbreaks, health department recommendations, closings, and immunization centers. Callers will also be given the option to be connected to related agencies and emergency services from this one number.
Hyper-Reach, a product of the AsherGroup located in Rochester since 1995, is providing this stand-alone Hotline. For more information about Hyper-Reach, go to http://www.hyper-reach.com, or visit the AsherGroup website at http://www.ashergroup.com.
“The Wayne County H1N1 Hotline has been very successful in helping WCPH get the needed messages out to our residents. The amount of calls to
the WCPH department has decreased significantly,” said Diane M. Devlin, RN, Director of Public Health for Wayne County.
“The H1N1 Hotline serves to reduce the strain on 911 and health department call centers while supplying detailed demographic data. Citizens get information on clinic locations, outbreaks and connections to other services,” said Samuel Asher, president of AsherGroup.
Hyper-Reach’s H1N1 Hotline can be used as a stand-alone service or in conjunction with comprehensive emergency notification services. As the flu season progresses, community concerns are mounting. Citizens are seeking reliable information and answers. The H1N1 Hotline will provide consistent professional answers from the Health Department and reduce loads on the existing County call center.
