Integeo Webinar Case Study: US Army Map Intelligence Program to Include Google Maps

In its latest webinars (Dec 3 and Dec 10), “Leveraging Google Maps to Deliver the Spatial Dimension in your Business Intelligence”, Integeo showcases the US Army deployment of Map Intelligence and a Family And Community Services deployment encompassing multiple geospatial business intelligence applications.

Integeo, developer of the Map Intelligence spatial decision support platform, has extended its deployment for the US Army to encompass Google Maps.

Army recruitment offices throughout the US can now take advantage of the ease of use of the Google spatial suite within Map Intelligence to maximize recruiters' efficiency.

In 2005, Integeo began building a customized application for the US Army based on the Map Intelligence decision support solution.

The application has been rolled out to thousands of users, giving them guidance and direction for accomplishing daily assigned tasks within the US Army's Graphical Accessions Mapping Analysis Tool (GAMAT), which tracks both potential and future Officer Commissions and Enlistments into the US Army and Army Reserve.

In the latest release, Integeo integrates Google Maps into the GAMAT application using Map Intelligence for spatial visualizations. This provides benefits such as improved usability, reduced complexity in infrastructure management and greatly reduced effort in management of map data.

Recruiters use an in-house CRM to perform end-of-day reporting, updated daily within Map Intelligence through a combined data feed.

Integeo CEO Peter Rossiter said that businesses are flocking to location technologies as they realize the benefits of including spatial contexts when making critical business decisions.

“The ability to leverage Google Maps for rendering the spatial data has become the default choice for many organizations,” Mr Rossiter said.

Integeo’s new webinar series, on Dec 3 and 10, 2009, demonstrates examples of the power of spatial visualization within business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, OBIEE, and the familiar Microsoft Excel.

“Business Intelligence utilizing Google Maps provides a valuable and very cost-effective way to expose previously hidden information,” Mr Rossiter said.
