South America's emerging markets are ripe for Minnesota businesses looking to expand their exports.
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) December 1, 2009
The Minnesota Trade Office and Governor Tim Pawlenty will depart this week on a State of Minnesota Business Development Mission to South America. The 44-member delegation, including Modern Survey President Don MacPherson, consists of top business leaders, academics, and government workers from the state of Minnesota. This marks the third time MacPherson has been a delegate for a Minnesota Trade Office mission abroad, including previous trips to China and Israel.
“South America’s emerging markets are ripe for Minnesota businesses looking to expand their exports,” Governor Pawlenty said. “Our trade mission will help Minnesotans make connections and build relationships with new trading partners in Brazil and Chile.”
With an itinerary that includes stops in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Santiago, Chile, the delegation will participate in market and industry presentations, round table discussions with business leaders and government officials, networking receptions, and site visits.
For Modern Survey, this trip represents an opportunity to develop new business partnerships and demonstrate Modern Survey’ thought leadership on topics such as employee engagement, customer satisfaction, Software as a Service business models, and cloud computing technology.
“Traveling to Brazil and Chile with Governor Pawlenty will provide Modern Survey an excellent opportunity to expand our network of affiliate consulting partners into South America,” said MacPherson. “Chile is a member of NAFTA which will make partnering with an organization easier, and Brazil’s economy continues to grow despite global economic woes.”
