Ollila Industries, a designer and manufacturer of electronic applications and aerospace controls for commercial aircraft, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 registration for its extensive quality management system.

Working closely with its ISO consultant, Change Management Consulting, the company's quality management system was found to be in complete compliance with the high standards set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) after a rigorous Registrar audit.

Ollila Industries specializes in electronic product development and manufacturing of all types of logic, from low-level CMOS to Microcontrollers. The company has a large supplier base for rapid component procurement. Surface-mount equipment is used to assemble circuit cards in a cost-effective and reliable manner. Its production line also enables Ollila to manufacture physical packaging, including enclosures and cables.

"The process of achieving ISO certification has given us a systematic approach to every aspect of our organization. We have achieved accountability throughout the company, and have given employees the tools required to meet our objectives," said Ryan Ollila, General Manager of Ollila Industries. "We have a quality assurance department capable of certifying aerospace-quality production, and the equipment needed to inspect every component, solder joint, and specification. Our test department can certify the functionality of every part, and troubleshoot any repairs that may arrive in the future."

Ollila Industries enjoys an outstanding reputation within the industry and among its customers. To satisfy growing customer demand, the company recently moved to a 12,800 square foot facility to expand manufacturing, engineering and quality assurance capabilities.

"Ollila Industries represents a growing trend among electronic designers and manufacturers to embrace formal quality management standards," states Stanley Cherkasky, CMC's managing partner. "They have demonstrated that making quality management an intricate aspect of the design and manufacturing process pays huge dividends for everyone's bottom line - customers and manufacturers alike. We are pleased to lend our ISO 9001:2008 expertise to help a company of Ollila's caliber standardize their quality policies and procedures. I know this achievement will yield considerable benefits in reduced costs and added revenue for them."
