Long term stability has been a challenge for all techniques used to measure pH. Polestar’s new pH sensor has less than 0.1 pH units of drift over 2 months at a 10sec. sampling rate. This stability is equal to, or better than, any commercially available method for measuring pH. The new sensor also measures over a broad range of pH (5.5 to 10 pH units), has a high level of delivered accuracy (0.05 pH units), and a long lifespan (7M measurements).
Polestar’s optical sensors are used to measure pH, dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, biofuel, beverage, and other industrial applications. The new pH sensor is available in all the formats of Polestar’s current sensor films, including stainless bioprobes, peel and stick patches, flow cells and the iDOT for single-use bioprocessing.
