Toronto, Canada (PRWEB) December 4, 2009
Social learning platform, ilumii.com, announced the launch of their website with a unique food-for-signups campaign. From November 25th to December 20th, 2009, for each new user that registers with ilumii.com, the company will donate a food item to the Saint Louise Outreach Centre, a food bank that fills an important need in an underserved area of the Greater Toronto Area.
“At its core, ilumii is all about sharing with one another in a meaningful way,” said Daniel Del Mastro, co-creator of ilumii. “ilumii.com allows others to share knowledge as well as hope for those in need, during this Christmas season.”
The donations gathered from user sign-ups will be delivered to the Saint Louise Outreach Centre, a non-profit organization that provides resources such as food, clothing, and furniture to individuals and families in need. “It’s encouraging to see a young company take the initiative to engage in a socially conscious effort, even as a start-up,” said Catherine Rivera-Board President of the Saint Louise Outreach Centre.
The ilumii.com website operates as a social learning marketplace that allows individuals from all over the world to buy and sell educational services online. The platform provides all the tools necessary to teach online, empowering users to offer courses, schedule lessons across different timezones, send and receive payments, and deliver lessons in a state-of-the-art Virtual Classroom.
An unique online community, ilumii.com is the first major offering from Canadian software start up, Clickbox Software, Inc. Founded in 2007, Clickbox Software has earned the support of Canada’s National Research Council (Industrial Research Assistance Program) and the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF). Clickbox Software is committed to igniting the social learning market through ilumii.com.
