Event Honors 5,000 + Veterans, Military Personnel and their Families 17th Annual Celebration Provides Entertainment, Food, Gifts and Fun

Volunteer organizations and members of the community, in cooperation with the Greater VA Healthcare System in West Los Angeles, will once again create a holiday party for more than 5,000 veterans, active military and their families.

The 17th Annual Veteran's Holiday Celebration is the nation's largest volunteer event of its kind put on by over 1,000 volunteers honoring over 5,000 Veterans, Military Personnel and their Families

Volunteer organizations and members of the community, in cooperation with the Greater VA Healthcare System in West Los Angeles, will once again create a holiday party for more than 5,000 veterans, active military and their families.The event is produced solely through the efforts of more than 1,000 volunteers and the cash and product donations received from individuals and local businesses. It is free to all veterans, active service personnel and their families.

The event is organized by The Greater Los Angeles community, along with special friends: Men's Division International (MDI), The Family of Women (FOW), and the Greater VA Healthcare System and Volunteer Staff.

Some of this year’s corporate support has been provided by Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield, the California Restaurant Association – L.A., Northrop Grumman, Ralphs Supermarkets, Southwest Airlines, Starbucks, Toyota Motors, Inc., United Healthcare/Pacificare, Trader Joe’s, TriWest Healthcare, Cheesecake Factory, and The Westfield Corporation.

Entertainers scheduled to appear this year include: The New Directions Choir, Jay C. Munns and The Sentimental Sisters, Bella Donna, A Tribute to Stevie Nicks, Curtis Smooth and the Blue2Blues Band, Rolling the Stones, Christmas Carols by The Hot Flashes, D.J. Michael Block, The MC Stylings of Douglas Roegiers and Billy St. John, Magicians from the world famous Magic Castle, and Jim Belushi and The Sacred Hearts.

The 17th Annual Veteran's Holiday Celebration is the nation's largest volunteer event of its kind.
