Irvine, CA (PRWEB) December 4, 2009

Ultra-premium skateboard deck producer Pink Lava® today announced that its popular kids skateboard decks will be available at Nine Star, a premier Southern California active sports retailer. Pink Lava will supply Nine Star with an initial line of four (4) kids skateboard decks in time for the 2009 Holiday season to focus on a key growth segment of kids who are 6-10 years of age.

"With the retail availability of Pink Lava® ultra premium skateboards, we'll be able to deliver some of our most successful designs to an untapped customer base in Southern California," remarked Janine Mei, VP of Sales & Distribution at Pink Lava. "As a key extreme sport retailer, Nine Star has the experience and retail merchandising strategies to get our kids skateboard decks where they need to be and in front of both boys and girls under 10 years old.

Pink Lava produces kids skateboard decks with artwork that empowers the individual. The most popular decks sold through their online web store (http://www.kids-skateboard.com) include the Butterfly, Lava Skull, Rock Star, and Blue Tiara kids skateboard decks. And, these are the four designs that will launch in the Nine Star retail stores.

"We're excited to offer a ultra-premium niche brand of skateboard decks to our customers," said John Lohnas VP of Merchandising at Nine Star. "Pink Lava creates designs that have the breadth to appeal to both boys and girls. We particularly like Pink Lava's line of decks that focus on girls, and this helps us offer products to our underserved girl customers."

Pink Lava expects to make its kids skateboard decks available nationwide in many local retailers across the nation. "We're anxious to get our decks out across the country through a growing network of local retailers in the first Quarter of 2010," said Janine Mei. "We are also looking to beef up our sponsorship of skateboarders and are looking for additional riders to complete our team. Year 2010 will be an exciting time for us."
