Judy Brickman has grown up always in the presence of dogs, mainly the family pets. As a small child she made several attempts to train the family dogs, but never had much success. As an adult, with pets of her own, she discovered an innovative approach to dog training that wasn't available during her years of adolescence - remote training collars.
Upon taking her dog to the park, she noticed a somewhat aggressive behavior in the animal and was able to correct this behavior with a remote-controlled training collar that allowed her to send a stimulus to the dog's collar, alerting the pet of her wrong doing. Brickman boasts that her pet is now a model citizen.
In an effort to promote the use of these effective and indeed humane tactics to pet owners everywhere, Brickman launched http://www.SmartDogCollars.com in July of 2009. Here, shoppers can browse through a variety of remote-controlled training collars as well as no bark collars, which send a stimulus (a harmless static release) to the animal. The site also offers a few accessories such as the PetSafe Ultrasonic Bark Control Birdhouse, which can be placed outside (ideally in a backyard) and will emit a high-pitched sound upon its microphone's detection of barking.
Brickman will continue to update her product line as newer items become available. Currently, her favorite product is the PetSafe remote training collar because of the success she has experienced with it. She also notes that it has been the most popular seller and that many clients have reported having great results with them.
Shoppers are prompted to visit the Web site's newly added blog to learn more about proper dog training methods. This interactive tool, http://www.TrainingCollarReview.com, will also be used to answer customers' questions about their dog's behavior in addition to providing additional information about the various types of collars.
Brickman is delighted to announce that she offers free shipping on all of the dog collars and is currently offering a $25 gift card from Restaurants.com with all dog collar purchases made before January 2010.
