We call it the RE-shirt because we see re-thinking the t-shirt as a metaphor for re-thinking our future
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 3, 2009
As the world prepares for the December 7-18 United Nations Climate Change Conference, The Institute for Sustainable Communication (ISC) is working with its partners to raise college funds for SOSreach Urban Scholars and providing donors with limited edition Hopenhagen ECO360 t-shirts as a token of appreciation to those who make a scholarship donation of $30.00 or more.
SOSreach is a youth outreach program sponsored by the ISC, which has attracted more than 1000 members from the all over the world. The group’s lively on-line community exchanges ideas and develops programs that support learning, and the idea of living sustainably and living well.
ECO360 is a brand created by the ISC to put sustainability principles into practice.
ECO360 branded products improve quality of life for young people, create jobs, contribute to the economy and support education. The Hopenhagen ECO360 t-shirt perfectly fits this description. The shirt fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles, the dye and printing processes utilize no water, and all shirts are produced in Los Angeles, creating jobs and contributing to the local economy.
Most importantly, proceeds from the sale of the Hopenhagen RE-shirt fund micro-scholarships of $500-1200 that will help young urban students to stay in colleges and complete their degrees. Urban Scholar campaign donations can be made at the ECO360 web site http://www.eco360.me/. “We call it the RE-shirt because we see re-thinking the t-shirt as a metaphor for re-thinking our future,” says Oya Demirli, Executive Director of the ISC. “ECO360 RE-shirts are made of 100% ‘recycled’ rPET fiber using sustainable production processes, and the Hopenhagen logo and message dovetail perfectly with the goal of our scholarship fundraising campaign. It’s all about re-thinking our future and creating a climate of hope.”
