Sheriff's Office deploys the OnBase document management and workflow solution to simplify finance operations

Manatee County, Florida, has partnered with Information Access Systems, Inc., a leading Systems Integrator specializing in Imaging, Workflow, and Enterprise Content Management, to deploy OnBase, the world-class ECM suite from Hyland Software. Following a thorough investigation of document management solutions, Manatee Sheriff's Office made the decision to select OnBase to automate their invoice processing and ultimately increase efficiency for the finance department.

Information Access Systems will streamline operational business processes which will provide a complete audit trail of each document, reduce the time required to manage invoices, and eliminate the manual steps for approvals. Staff at all levels will be able to simultaneously review financial data, cross reference all relevant packing slips, request forms or receiver information, and verify payment status with a single click.

Manatee County chose Fujitsu 6140 scanners to convert their hardcopy documents to electronic format for sharing across the enterprise. This new implementation will provide secure document access to other authorized personnel within Manatee County that are already utilizing the OnBase solution, which include The Clerk of the Courts, HR, Legal, Building, and Public Works Departments.
