Colleen Forshey, owner of (, has come up with a distinctive way to show someone that you are thinking of them. Just launched will send a cute, green, smiling frog through the mail as is -- no packaging, box or bag! These almost five inch tall smiling rubber frogs are handwritten with your personal greeting, addressed and sent on their way.

An alternative to sending yet another greeting card, whether for a birthday, get well, new home, new baby, thank you, or just to "say hello", Send a Frog is like sending a smile through the mailâ„¢. Finding a big, green, smiling frog looking out from the mailbox will always surprise and delight. "It's just such an unusual, one-of-a-kind thing to receive, you can't help but smile" says Colleen, "it's a great way to make someone's day."

Like so many things in life, Send a Frog was started out of desperation, by a single Mom recently laid off from her full-time marketing career, a victim of the economy. With a son in college and viable employment opportunities nearly non-existent, circumstances were bleak at best.

Colleen always had an entrepreneurial spirit and considered this an opportunity.

After immersing herself in small business start-up books, applying her marketing background, and brain storming fun, feel-good ideas, she had a break-through and Send a Frog was born. The business is still in its infancy and managed out of the dining room of her home.

By making it easy for others to send an unusual greeting and knowing the recipient will get a smile on their face when they receive their frog, Colleen feels she is doing her small, small part to make the world a little more pleasant. And that, according to Colleen, is a very good feeling indeed. frogs are delivered anywhere in the U.S. and generally take 5-10 days to reach their destination, depending on where in the U.S. they are sent.
