Leading environmental management consultants, Redhills, is awarded UKAS Accreditation status for its asbestos bulk analysis laboratory in Cardiff office.
Following a recent visit, UKAS is satisfied that Redhills is operating a bulk sampling laboratory in accordance with the specified requirements under ISO17025 for bulk analysis of asbestos

“Our Cardiff Office is already accredited to ISO 17020 for inspection and ISO 17025 for testing and the new laboratory which has been integrated into our new office facilities due to expansion supplements our already strong service offering within the region for all of our existing and potential new clients.”
Kieran Moon, Associate Director, Redhills said:
“Our trained, experienced analysts carry out the bulk sampling of suspect material in accordance with HSE Guidance Note HSG 248, MDHS 100 and in-house procedures. The samples are then analysed in our ISO 17025 accredited laboratory in accordance with HSG 248 and in-house procedures using stereo and polarised light microscopy.”
He went on to say:
“Samples can now be analysed within one of our three UKAS Accredited Laboratories in Surrey, Cardiff and Hinkley and returned to the client within several different turnaround times depending on requirements. The opening of this new laboratory further builds on our strong national coverage throughout the UK.”
