The Logo Loft Hires Laid-Off Sales Executive Increasing Sales for Company by 64% Despite the Recession

Pete Casu was named Director of Business Development at The Logo Loft in late October. During his first few months he has increased year over year sales by 64%. Mr. Casu attributes the increase in sales at The Logo Loft to implementing some fundamental sales concepts with a strong emphasis on the customer service experience. After being laid off in May by a fortune 500 medical equipment company he did not want to return to the healthcare industry. What he did was start over at age 44 and pursue a career at The Logo Loft. After 20 years of medical sales and medical management experience Pete Casu embraced being out of his comfort zone. The challenge left Pete Casu energized and refreshed with a sense of purpose and renewed drive for the continued success of The Logo Loft.

I wanted to work for a smaller company like The Logo Loft where I would be appreciated and not just looked at like another number

Montgomery, Ala. (PRWEB) December 8, 2009

The Logo Loft Inc. Named Pete Casu to the position of Director of Business Development. Mr. Casu has over 20 years of combined Operations Management, Consulting, Business Development and Sales experience all within the Healthcare industry. Mr. Casu would not be a logical candidate for the position since he had no experience in graphic design. His employer, however saw the benefit of hiring a laid off sales executive from a Fortune 500 company.

"Pete possesses the knowledge & know how of the complex inner workings of Fortune 500 businesses," stated Aaron Carr, President and Founder of The Logo Loft. Mr. Carr's gamble seems to be paying off. Just in the last 2 month sales are up 64% over last year's numbers.

With the giant influx of un-employed executive's, small businesses reap the rewards of having employees such as Mr. Casu. Most small to medium sized business would never be able to afford to train employees like fortune 500 companies do. At the same time Mr. Casu is grateful for having a job again were he feels like he is making a difference.

"After being laid-off I had no intentions of going back to work for a large corporation. I wanted to work for a smaller company like The Logo Loft where I would be appreciated and not just looked at like another number," stated Mr. Casu. As for taking on the challenge of working in a new field of business, Mr. Casu states "It's been a blast! A sale is a sale, and the principles remain the same. After wearing suites for the last 20 years, it's nice to be able to work in a casual environment and mix it up. I also like the fact that The Logo Loft is a local company that doesn't farm-out or contract our graphic design work oversees."

With the number of people being laid-off increasing, more people are starting their own business; The Logo Loft is keeping up with demand.
