The project was begun in 1985 by Debbie and Steve Lawson to thank the hospital for the care they and their then 2-year old daughter Alex received when she was treated at the hospital for complications from e-coli. To date, the project has raised almost $800,000.
Many talented singers and songwriters who call the Northwest home have donated songs to the project. Artists include Dave Matthews, HEART, Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson, Steve Miller Band, Kenny G, David Lanz and many more.
