Working with the TerraGo solutions for the past several years, we have come to appreciate the significant value that TerraGo's software can deliver to organizations who need to share complex geospatial data with non-technical users in the field
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 10, 2009
Fugro Horizons, Inc., airborne sensing and mapping professionals, and TerraGo Technologies®, a leading provider of geospatial collaboration software solutions, announced today that the two companies have signed a multi-faceted agreement that makes Fugro Horizons the industry's first Certified GeoPDF® Production Partner. Under the terms of the three-year agreement, Fugro Horizons will use TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS, TerraGo Publisher for Raster and TerraGo Composer software solutions to deliver value added services to its customers.
"Working with the TerraGo solutions for the past several years, we have come to appreciate the significant value that TerraGo's software can deliver to organizations who need to share complex geospatial data with non-technical users in the field," said Paul Harwig, President of Fugro Horizons. "We strive to provide our customers with a complete solution, from data collection to data usage. We will now be able to help them take even greater advantage of their GIS investments by extending the availability and usage of their data to more users across their enterprise with the TerraGo GeoPDF and collaboration solutions."
According to Rick Cobb, CEO of TerraGo Technologies, "Fugro's reputation for delivering high-quality geospatial data to its customers is unmatched in the industry. We are pleased to establish this long-term agreement with the Fugro Horizons' team as they look to add even more value to their customers with the service of publishing complex map and image data to the easy to use, easy to access GeoPDF file format as well as building mapbooks and other digital map products."
TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS is an enterprise software application that gives organizations the ability to extend the access and application of their geospatial assets by publishing complex vector data into easy to use, easy to access spatial assets called GeoPDFs. The TerraGo Publisher for Raster follows the same process but publishes raster data to GeoPDF files, enabling organizations to share large, high-resolution imagery files with anyone, anywhere. The TerraGo Composer solution enables customers to create unique geospatial applications, such as digital atlases and map books that integrate an organization's own business context and workflow. In addition, users of TerraGo GeoPDF files have the ability to use the free TerraGo Toolbar, which is based on the free Adobe Reader, to perform geospatial functions, such as measure length and area, integrate with a GPS system, and make annotations on the GeoPDF file for more effective geospatial collaboration.
TerraGo recently announced the availability of Version 5.0 for its complete suite of solutions. For more information on these solutions, visit http://www.terragotech.com.
The Fugro Horizons and TerraGo relationship will be discussed on a joint webinar this Thursday, 12/10, at 2:00PM as the organizations join forces to discuss the use of LiDAR data in the form at 3D GeoPDF. To register for the free webinar, go to http://www.carahsoft.com/terrago/events.php.
