Saint Paul, MN (PRWEB) December 9, 2009
Allen Interactions, an internationally acclaimed custom e-learning design, development and strategic consulting firm, won a 2009 Silver Davey Award in Interactive Multimedia – Training for an e-learning course on identity theft for The Office for Victims of Crime, part of the Department of Justice and The Office for Victims of Crime Training and Technical Assistance Center.
Together the three companies created an e-learning version of the instructor-led course, “Identify Theft: Supporting Victims’ Financial & Emotional Recovery.” The online training was created for Victim Advocates across the country working for the Department of Justice who assist people that have been subjected to violent crimes. The Department of Justice now considers identity theft a violent crime.
“We are honored to receive this recognition and to have partnered with The Office for Victims of Crime on this winning solution,” stated Dr. Michael Allen, founder and CEO of Allen Interactions. “We are also excited to share that this e-learning course has received nearly 2,500 visits since its launch in August at the National Organization for Victim Assistance Annual Conference – the most visits to an online training course in the first quarter launch!”
The United States Postal Inspection Service has partnered with the Department of Justice and uses this e-learning course as part of their employee development program. The Office for Victims of Crime has also shared the availability of this training with several partner agencies and organizations including the IRS, FTC, and the ID Theft Passport Advisory Council.
