Larry Hoppen, Co-Founder and Lead Singer of seventies sensation Orleans, has joined forces with other members of his band, Rock & Pop Masters (RPM), in a charity effort to to record a holiday song to benefit Feeding America, the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity. RPM is a world-class team of musical veterans featuring name-brand pros from some of the biggest names in the business.

The current arrangement of the song, "The Real Meaning of Christmas", was produced specifically for the project. It was originally written and recorded by the Winans. For a $1.50 contribution, donors get a free MP3 version of the song. At least 50% of the proceeds are donated to Feeding America; the remainder goes to production, licensing and other direct costs.

Featuring Jeff Scott Soto (formerly of Journey), Charlie Morgan (formerly with Elton John Band), Hoppen, and other local professional musicians, the song also highlights a chorale group from Seminole High School in Florida.

Hoppen says, "If you like Orleans' hits like Still The One and Dance with Me, you'll love this song - plus you'll help feed hungry Americans. This is the best - and most important - recording I've done in really long time, and, based on the amazing positive reaction so far, audiences agree."
