We live in such an egocentric world, all focused on our own survival. The Compassion Movement aims to change that by providing counseling, consulting, education, books, workshops and conferences to heal the world.

Congressional District Programs (CDP) announced today the acceptance of a new program called, “The Compassion Movement.”

The Compassion Movement’s Program Manager, Melody Brooke Henricks, is a licensed professional counselor and marriage and family therapist, author, and speaker. She believes that people who are struggling to be compassionate with themselves and others have difficulty in many areas in their lives. Brooke Henricks established The Compassion Movement at CDP to help those people understand how to apply practical compassion in their lives.
"We live in such an egocentric world, all focused on our own survival. The Compassion Movement aims to change that by providing counseling, consulting, education, books, workshops and conferences to heal the world," Brooke Henricks noted. The Compassion Movement will serve those in and around the Lewisville, Texas area. Donations to the Compassion Movement are tax-deductible, and will help to provide conferences, workshops and trainings to trauma survivors, couples, parents, and underserved populations.

About CDP

The Compassion Movement is a project of CDP, a 501(c)(3) public charity. CDP believes that there is an ever-growing need for new and different charitable programs. By allowing individuals to begin programs under the auspices of CDP, people can address specific charitable needs on a local, national, or even global level.

CDP does all the administrative work for these charitable programs, including receiving donations, receipting donors, and filing all appropriate state, federal and local reports. This allows the Program Managers to be more focused on achieving their charitable goals. All donations to these CDP programs are tax-deductible.
