Musically inspired treasure hunt for teachers, parents, students and gamer aficionados

Just in time for the holidays comes the perfect gift for music lovers and puzzle lovers combined.

The Silver Key, the latest release from acclaimed Austin band "The Weirdo Deluxe" doubles as an armchair international treasure hunt wherein the new tunes and CD package provide clues to a Jackpot. In a unique twist, the jackpot grows for every CD sold.

Inspired by Kit Williams' "Masquerade," The Silver Key, CD from the Austin-based band The Wierdo Deluxe launches a national treasure hunt. Teachers, music teachers and geography classes alike will be able to hunt for the treasure through listening to the CD and using the CD packaging as well.

In the grand tradition of Nick Bantock's cleverly packaged books, Steve McAllister - head "Wierdo" took the CD packaging on step further and enlisted a bevy of accomplished musicians to play on The Silver Key CD.

"It's a game, but the console is your CD player," says the CD's producer/creator Steve McAllister (Varitone Records). "But make no mistake, it's a difficult challenge." Performers on the CD include Ian Moore, Ian McLagan (Small Faces), Dave Gregory (XTC), and a host of Austin's Finest!
