Streamlined delivery platform offers customers superior hosted services experience

Apptix (OSE: APP), the leading provider of hosted Microsoft Exchange email, Microsoft SharePoint, and hosted VoIP services for businesses worldwide, today announced its inclusion in InfoWorld’s list of the Top 100 IT Projects of 2009. Apptix earned the listing for the development and deployment of a unified provisioning, management, and billing platform for all its hosted services.

The project is enabling Apptix to consolidate its users onto a single platform and eliminate numerous disparate legacy platforms accumulated via acquisitions – leading to significant operational efficiencies and improved customer service. The platform also allowed Apptix to more rapidly and easily deploy new mission-critical products and services to market directly and through the channel.

“Apptix is proud to be included in InfoWorld’s Top 100 IT Projects of 2009. This award is a testament to Apptix’s commitment to continually improving our customers’ experience, to CTO John Kersse’s technology vision, and to our employees that developed and deployed the platform in record time,” said David Ehrhardt, President & CEO of Apptix. “The consolidation and simplification of our technical architecture through the new platform has already proved itself as a differentiator in the market for Apptix, enabling us to expand our portfolio of services, better serve our customers, and enhance our corporate bottom line.”

Each year, the InfoWorld 100 Awards recognize the 100 most innovative uses of IT initiatives to further business goals. To be considered for an InfoWorld 100 Award, projects must use multiple technologies in innovative ways to serve well-defined business goals.

"This year's recipients of InfoWorld's highest honor are shining examples of IT projects undertaken by tech leaders committed to pushing their organizations forward," said Jason Snyder, Features Editor, InfoWorld.

Apptix provides hosted business communication and collaboration services for companies around the world. The company’s offerings include Microsoft hosted Exchange email, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Live Meeting Web conferencing, Microsoft Communicator secure Instant Messaging, VoIP service, and online back-up.
