Trinidad, CO (PRWEB) December 11, 2009
From a pool of candidates that included every standout CEO in Colorado, the members of ColoradoBiz Magazine's bio-editorial board first whittled down their CEO of the Year list to 50 viable contenders and then to six finalists that included Mark and Annie Danielson.
The competition was impressive; the chief executives who made the cut represent Fortune 500 perennials like Boeing and fan favorites like the Denver Broncos. But when it came down to the final choice, it wasn't planes or ballgames that tipped the balance. Mike Taylor, who sits on ColoradoBiz's bio-editorial board and is the magazine's Managing Editor, was impressed by the Danielsons' passion to make a difference in their community. "Mark and Annie are a great choice, not only because they have a successful business in a challenging economy, but also because of their devotion to Trinidad."
When selecting the CEO of the Year, the bio-editorial board relies on established criteria including the CEO's accomplishments during the calendar year, company performance in the given economic environment, and business challenges the CEO faces, both internal and external to the organization. However, the board also takes into consideration the chief executive's leadership story and personal commitment to positively affect the community in which the business lives. "We were impressed by Mark and Annie's dedication to local job creation and the cultural and historic preservation of their town," Taylor went on to say.
While every chief executive officer in Colorado is eligible for the award, the board pays closer attention to those company heads who are recognized throughout the year by the State of Colorado, ColoradoBiz Magazine, and other organizations. For instance, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade named Danielson Designs as one of the 50 Colorado Companies to Watch earlier this year. Danielson Designs and the Danielsons themselves have also been nominated for various other local and state business awards in 2009 and have been the recipients of other prestigious industry awards in recent years. "Annie and I are delighted and honored to be named the top Colorado CEOs of the year. We extend our gratitude to our family, employees, and the folks of Trinidad," said Mark Danielson.
2010 should be another banner year for Danielson Designs as it rolls out The Studio, a new website that allows anyone to personalize a frame, sign, or monogram and have it shipped in no more than two days after the order. "We're really excited about The Studio," said Danielson. "No one else in the industry is allowing customers to make their own sign or frame and ship it in two days, and there's no comparison with the quality." And with Christmas just around the corner, having the ability to receive a unique, personalized gift in time to open presents is a great option for buyers this holiday season.
