Thomas J. Kent Jr., Chairman of FDP Capital, to launch a minority owned construction and real estate firm. Mr. Kent will take advantage of his ten years in the financial world.
Mr. Kent said that it is time for him to be on the opposite side of the table when it comes down to large scale deals in New York and around the globe. Mr. Kent says that minorities in the construction industry are not widely represented. Mr. Kent's construction and development group will put in bids for minority contracts in New York and in California to start. Thereafter, Mr. Kent hopes to build the firm into a national powerhouse.
The firm will also be conducting join ventures with different developers from around the nation. Mr. Kent said he can bring in financing from Asia to help developers in need of capital to complete their projects. Mr. Kent will act as Chairman of the firm and will have individuals to run day to day operations of the firm with experience in the real estate and construction industry. The firm will also deal with management of different properties around the nations.
In the new year, the firm will hold its offices in the Empire State Building and will setup other offices as it grows.
