Washington, DC Seniors seeking Alzheimer's and Dementia Care will have a new option for community living. Be part of the Ground Breaking event Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.

Since 1889, The Methodist Home of DC has been serving seniors. They have been at their current location since 1925. Now, for the first time in its long history, they will concurrently operate a second community. The Methodist Home of DC Forest Side will provide 33 private apartments and specialized programming serving the needs of residents with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

The community, located at 2701 Military Road, NW, Washington, DC 20015 will begin renovations with an exciting Ground Breaking ceremony on Thursday, December 17 at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to join in the event. There are few Alzheimer’s and Dementia care specific communities in Washington, DC, yet, the need is great. The Methodist Home is continuing its commitment to seniors by answering the call for such a specialized care community. Forest Side is projected to be open for residents in Fall 2010.
