Rodriguez Guitars Gifted to Nineteen Past Nobel Prize Recipients.

One of Spain’s most historic guitar manufacturers, Manuel Rodriguez & Sons, donated 19 Spanish artisan guitars to past Nobel Prize winners in chemistry, physics, medicine, and economics. The Rodriguez Spanish acoustic guitars were presented at a special award ceremony held at the Rodriguez guitar manufacturing facility in Toledo, Spain, on November 30.

The following Nobel laureates will receive a Rodriguez guitar. In Chemistry: Sidney Altman (1989), Aaron Ciechanover (2004), Johann Deisenhofer (1988), Avram Hershko (2004), Robert Huber (1988), Hartmut Michel (1988); In Physics: Jerome I. WFriedman (1990), Sheldon Lee Glashow (1979), David J. Gross (2004); In Economics: Gary S. Becker (1992), Robert J. Aumann (2005), Robert W. Fogel (1993), Finn E. Kydland (2004), Edward C. Prescott (2004), Edmund S. Phelps (2006); In Medicine: Werner Arber (1978), Erwin Neher (1991), Hamilton O. Smith (1978).
