Stoltenberg Founder and CEO Donates $50,000 to CHIME Education Foundation

Stoltenberg Consulting, Inc., a leading healthcare industry information technology consulting firm, announced today that its founder and CEO, Sheri Stoltenberg, has donated $50,000 to the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Education Foundation.

Stoltenberg Consulting, Inc., a leading healthcare industry information technology consulting firm, announced today that its founder and CEO, Sheri Stoltenberg, has donated $50,000 to the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Education Foundation.

The CHIME Education Foundation provides scholarships for CHIME members to attend educational events. The Stoltenberg 25-Year Future Fund Scholarship will award $2,000 scholarships through the next 25 years to be used for any of CHIME's educational events, including its Healthcare CIO Boot Camp, Fall CIO Forum, CHIME/HIMSS CIO Forum and LEAD Forums.

"Our goal is to provide CIOs with access to education that will provide them with ideas and knowledge in order for them to be innovative and somewhat entrepreneurial in their approach to enhance their organization's ability to be successful in the area of healthcare IT," explained Sheri Stoltenberg, CEO of Stoltenberg Consulting. "I also feel it is the responsibility of industry leaders to find ways to enhance healthcare IT outcomes as a way to return something to our community."

The recipient of the 2009 scholarship from the Stoltenberg 25-Year Future Fund is Jeanne Fallon, director of clinical information systems and VNA at South Shore Hospital and South Shore VNA. Scholarship applicants must be CHIME members in good standing, express a need for financial support for continuing education and describe their professional goals in the healthcare IT industry. Stoltenberg presented the inaugural recipient of the Stoltenberg 25-Year Future Fund Scholarship at the CHIME09 Fall CIO Forum in Indian Wells, California.
