Vernon, British Columbia, Canada (PRWEB) December 17, 2009
Dennis & Marion Case, Brad & Jody Swartz, owners of Case Furniture Gallery, are pleased to announce the opening of the Case Furniture Gallery on December 18, 2009. Case Furniture Gallery is located downtown Vernon, at 2803 - 32nd Avenue.
The Case family bought an original 1913 Packing House heritage building; which underwent extensive renovation to serve the Vernon community. The focus was to create a warm, inviting and accessible environment for their diverse customer base that brings a fresh direction for Okanagan consumers serving the demand for style, selection and the latest trends.
The original Packing House has undergone some big transformations and is a two-floor 18,000 sq. ft. open space that retains many of the original features. Jody Swartz, member of the Case family, elaborates on the elements that contribute to the overall vibe and tasteful blending of old and new: "Renovating a heritage building has been both exciting and challenging at the same time. Our objective was to maintain the character of the building and to utilize the existing features such as: the wood beams, the original brick, and even the large rail doors used to operate the Packing House in the early 1900's. However challenging, I feel we have successfully balanced bringing a hundred year old structure 'up to code' while maintaining its character."

They are current with the latest home styles and products that are setting the trends right now, including carrying products featured on the popular Canadian TV show "Steven & Chris".
Reusing original material is only one way the company strives to be green. They are committed to ongoing measures to reduce, reuse and recycle. They invested in a cardboard bailer to help reduce waste removal substantially. The bailer is located in the Enderby warehouse, where 75% of their product is opened. Once the cardboard is compacted, it is recycled. They are also near to purchasing a machine that reduces 12 cubic feet of Styrofoam packing materials into one cubic foot. Being environmentally conscious, community-based and staff-focused are key company philosophies, along with delivering a superior customer experience.
