Verizon Launches BBN on FiOS TV Video on Demand

“Part of the value that we offer is the ability to represent many independent networks, getting them in front of Cable and Telco operators that would otherwise not be accessible to them,” states Roger McGarrahan, COO of PathFinder World Video.

PathFinder World Video, LLC, today announced that the Black Broadcasting Network has been added to Verizon FiOS TV’s Video On Demand (VOD) platform.

“We are catering to the eighteen to thirty-five-year-old, African-American male and female demographic, which is a $26.6 billion cable advertising industry”, states Attorney Ricky Anderson, CEO of the Black Broadcasting Network. “PathFinder has quickly provided us the entrée into this massive market, and we are looking forward to quickly becoming a linear channel on operators across the country.”

BBN will provide Verizon’s FiOS TV subscribers with 20 hours of content a month with a refresh rate of 25 percent (five new hours of content a week). The content focuses on movies, sports and other original programming. This is the next step in launching BBN as a nationally recognized network.

“Part of the value that we offer is the ability to represent many independent networks, getting them in front of Cable and Telco operators that would otherwise not be accessible to them,” states Roger McGarrahan, COO of PathFinder World Video. “In addition, our technical expertise allows us to provide video transport and distribution services to our client networks.”
