Boxwood is pleased to announce effective January 1, 2010 Robious Sports & Fitness will have a new name, the Midlothian Athletic Club (the MAC). Along with the new name there will be many improvements in terms of equipment, group exercise classes and facility upgrades.
The MAC will continue to provide the Midlothian area a full-service fitness club, offering a wide range of sports, fitness and wellness activities including tennis, racquetball, weight and cardio training, basketball and aquatics (indoor and outdoor pool). The MAC has something for everyone in a family friendly environment.
Boxwood is continuing its initial plans for facility upgrades. The renovations will include:
- New treadmills, elipticals, arc trainers, steppers and bikes
- New free weights
- New selectorized weight machines
- Renovated indoor pool area
- New interior design
- New child minding and activity center
- New Tennis Pro shop and offices
- New Mind/Body studio
- New Spin studio
- New Indoor tennis courts
- Improved Café and menu
The renovations are commencing in December and expect to be ongoing over the next year. We anticipate the MAC transformation being completed by early 2011. All of these exciting changes will impact the club by creating a whole new look and feel. 3-d renderings will be available at the front desk for viewing soon. The MAC will have one of the largest free weight rooms in the area, the newest high end cardio equipment and top of the line weight machines.
